Stoneware bowl

by Wendy Barber on April 21, 2011, no comments

When Hinchcliffe and Barber were asked to design a range of pottery for use in the Russell-Cotes Museum and Art Gallery cafe we decided on a simple stoneware range which we took it to Dartington Pottery, then still at Dartington in Devon, for production.

Whilst we were there we took the opportunity to design and decorate a collection which was first shown at an exhibition at The Cider Press Centre. These one off pieces sold quickly and as things panned out we didn’t make anymore.

So imagine my pleasure at seeing this magnificent bowl, in this case decorated by Hinchcliffe, on my recent trip to the North East.
